Guided Studies classes are underway at the high school. In Ms. Dill's class the students started making friendship bracelets. The class is in need of more supplies. If you have embroidery floss or yarn sitting around the house that you no longer need, please send it on over to the high school. The students will appreciate it.

Hiring
Please join us in congratulating our first recipient of our Red Hawk Hero Award at HES! The Red Hawk Hero goes to someone in our building who exemplifies the characteristics of a hero! Mrs. Shafer is our first recipient this year! Mrs. Shafer is our Elementary Counselor at Hiawatha Elementary. Here is what was shared about our Mrs. Shafer: Mrs. Shafer has moved to a new building, in a new position, with new students and staff. Even in learning all the new, she’s always available! She is a positive presence in our classrooms and hallways! Mrs. Shafer is someone that we can always count on! She pitches in where any help is needed and supports our students in multiple ways! HES is lucky that Mrs. Shafer chose to join our family! 🔴🔵#HESREDHAWKS #USD415 #REDHAWKREADY #HIAWATHAHAWKS #HiawathaKansas 🔴🔵

Stacy Jasper and Bethany Meyers from HP&R came to talk to first graders about helping take care of Crestview Park (Blue Park) throughout the school year. This is a fun partnership between the first graders and HP&R. Students learn about being good citizens and taking pride in their community.
