The HHS KAYs Club will be hosting its annual silent auction on February 15 during the evening’s high school basketball games. The high school basketball teams will be competing against Jeff West that night, and Red Hawk fans will have the opportunity to come out in support of their teams while donating to the KAYs club cause.
All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Melissa “Missy” Dawn Reiger Memorial Scholarship. Scholarship donations go to a fund to award college scholarships to student members of families in need and who have struggled with cancer.
Many area business, individuals and clubs in the school have donated baskets to this event. Patrons in attendance at Friday night’s games can bid on baskets from 4:30 pm to the first quarter of the varsity boys game. Some of the themes of the baskets already assembled include Baby, Relaxation, College, Spa, and Sick Day baskets.
Basket winners will be announced at half time during the varsity boys game.
“Come help donate to this worthy cause, it will help with cancer patients,” Vickie Schuetz, HHS KAYs sponsor, encourages Red Hawk fans.
