Greetings, Red Hawk Families,
As we approach the beginning of the school year, I want to share some information and a resource that may provide information you may be seeking. Listed below are two links. One link is to the Frequently Asked Questions page. We hope this page will answer questions you have. The second link is to a Google Form (Return to Learn Questions Link) where you can pose questions. When you submit a question, we will respond and may also add the question to the F.A.Q. page as a benefit for other stakeholders.
As our teachers begin working on finalizing details, we will be forthcoming with more details regarding instructional delivery plans. Our educators return on August 12. They will then begin problem solving and creating in a united effort to address contingencies and enhance instructional possibilities. As described in the USD 415 Return to Learn Plan, we must build a system that enables us to pivot between instructional platforms as health conditions necessitate. Our professional staff will work to ensure we can smoothly transition from an on-site platform to a hybrid, or even remote platform. Our district and our staff are committed to moving from the crisis teaching of last spring to cohesive instruction across platforms.
USD 415 leaders continue to collaborate with our local health experts and the Kansas Department of Education in making determinations regarding our school plans. We will update you as new information warrants. We all desire precise information, but sometimes it simply is not available. I hope the resources I’ve shared will be of some assistance. I appreciate your understanding and patience. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Lonnie D. Moser, Superintendent
